9 years and going strong5Too often I read the comments and it's from someone who has owned a gi for a month or two...well I think it's safe for me to write a comment after nine years. I got this because I needed a gi after going to my first bjj class and being the only guy going no gi. I got it 1. because I thought it was the gracies used and 2. because it was all I could afford at the time. It's a no frills gi. I didn't have any patches or any cool logos, just a no nonsense gi. At first I didn't care but as time has gone on I've realized that many of my friends who got the nice gi's have either stopped or they've gone through three and four gi's that they spend way too much cash on. My collar is worn and a dingy grey, the back of the gi is stained from years of wear and tear of mat time. So I've stuck with the same two gtma gi's for all these years and don't really care to get another one. So now my simple white gi has the wear marks that only years of training can provide that a patch can't. Sorry for the long rant. Long story short it's a great gi that will last a life time....the pant's were a little big for my likeing
